Location
At this year's eVTOL Show, BLOOMY® will present the following:
Advancing HIL & SIL Validation for eVTOL: From Tip to Battery to Tail
SIL/HIL turn design intent into cert-grade evidence—before flight. This session shows how modular, scalable benches validate propulsion, BMS, flight controls, and avionics under real-time scenarios, faults, and environmental edge cases to cut risk, cost, and schedule.
- Why now: Use SIL/HIL to de-risk certification and compress test cycles.
- Architect the rigs: Modular benches that model full-aircraft behavior (FCC, BMS, drives, avionics).
- Fault with purpose: Structured fault injection (shorts, sensor drift, timing, OEI) with coverage metrics.
- Autonomy & energy: Validate autonomous logic and energy management under realistic missions.
- Automate evidence: Trace requirements → tests → reports; configuration control for repeatability.
- Integrate & scale: Tie benches into MBSE/PLM, reuse for regression, end-of-line, and in-service incident replay.
- Cert alignment: Build test artefacts regulators accept—DO-178C/254, SC-VTOL safety cases.
Exhibits
In addition, BLOOMY will showcase HIL/SIL solutions for validation, integration and certification testing of many e/VTOL systems, including autonomous systems, battery energy storage systems, engine controls, environmental controls, flight control computers, mission systems, propulsion systems, vehicle management systems, sensors, actuators and avionic bus communications. Our newest offerings include advanced new commercial battery cell simulators, and a high-voltage pack simulator comprised of more than 200 series-connected simulated cell channels. In addition, the eVTOL HIL Test System provides an integrated, closed-loop environment for dynamic testing of flight control systems and battery management systems for eVTOL. The system simulates more than 200 battery cells as well as control surface activities during forward and transitional flight. The system utilizes BLOOMY’s commercially available battery cell simulator products, including the Battery Simulator 1201, the world’s highest cell channel density battery cell simulator.
