Senior Project Manager - CT

Purpose

Apply industry-standard project management best practices to managing multiple concurrent projects, on-time and on-budget. Support the company’s overall mission to provide test and measurement solutions that exemplify the world’s best professional practices, produced by a world-class team. 

Requirements

  • BS in engineering or science, MBA a plus
  • PMP certificate or 10+ years of project or program management experience
  • 5+ Years of experience managing several concurrent projects under firm, fixed-price contracts
  • Ability to manage projects with period of performance ranging from 3 months to 1 year
  • Personable and team oriented
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills 

Helpful Skills

  • Working knowledge of project accounting methods including the earned value management system (EVMS)
  • Experience with aerospace, battery electrification, defense, electronics and/or robotics industries
  • Experience with automated test equipment development projects using best-in-class COTS technologies
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management systems implementation and compliance
  • Experience with state, federal, DOD and international regulations, including: RoHS, REACH, CE, EAR, ITAR, FAR, DFARS
  • Experience with National Instruments (NI) hardware and software

Responsibilities

  • Manage the scope of work, schedule, and budget of several firm, fixed-price and time and materials projects
  • Interface and manage expectations among internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage personnel and material resource needs weekly to ensure projects are completed on-schedule and on-budget
  • Manage customer relationships and perform cost and schedule estimations for potential projects
  • Manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs, including contractual scope change requests to customers
  • Proactively manage project risks and mitigation plans from start to successful deployment of deliverables
  • Manage development, assembly and validation to ensure successful and efficient integration of the deliverables among engineering, purchasing, production and quality teams
  • Promote, adhere and evolve Bloomy’s project management standards, policies and procedures as a member of the PMO
